British commercial laundry detergent formulation experts, Ideal announce R & D collaboration with ozone technology specialists, Laundry Efficiency  to reduce production costs and radically optimise the traditional supply model for UK laundries.

Ideal and Laundry Efficiency have today announced a ground-breaking partnership designed to help commercial laundries across the UK in the battle to reduce the costs of laundry production whilst maintaining the highest levels of quality. 

The partnership will see the two companies come together to develop products and services which can alleviate some of the major challenges that laundry owners are facing.

Rising costs of energy coupled with increases in staffing costs have put incredible pressure on laundry owners at a time when customers are also putting increasing pressure on them. This exciting new collaboration, using Laundry Efficiency’s expertise in Ozone technology coupled with Ideals unparalleled experience in formulating the highest quality laundry chemicals presents commercial laundries with an opportunity to achieve quality and bottom line savings.

Innovative Chemistry + Ozone Technology = Brighter Laundry

It’s important to keep an ear-to-the-ground on innovations that are positively affecting the commercial laundry industry and be open to embracing new technology. Ideal recently came into contact with Laundry Efficiency – a family business, like Ideal – who are making great strides in raising the awareness of the benefits of Ozone technology and who are demonstrating the benefits of their system first hand at multiple customer sites around the UK. The team at Laundry Efficiency have made significant investments to help them deliver an ozone solution which can achieve great results and significant savings at the same time.

After several meetings with Laundry Efficiency, site visits, independent research and open discussions with the Ideal technical department, the two family-run companies decided that they would enjoy working together and have formed an association on a project to optimise the Laundry Efficiency ozone solution. This partnership will provide a number of great benefits to the British commercial laundry industry, with Ideal putting their chemistry expertise into developing a specific eco range of products to optimise performance alongside the Laundry Efficiency system.

Ideal are confident that this new solution (based on the deployment of Ozone within the water supply) will enable considerable benefits in respect to conservation of energy, reduction of water consumption, extension of linen life and improvement of handle (particularly towelling). The implications are also radical in regard to overall reduction of costs and, of course, in respect to eco sustainability – something that is very high on the agenda for both organisations.

Having developed the new chemistry, Ideal and Laundry Efficiency are already getting exciting indications about improved performance in a select group of laundries.

Additionally, it is predicted that the use of Ozone technology in conjunction with the new range of Ideal ozone specific low temperature wash products will eliminate any requirement for expensive heat recovery & water reclamation systems.

The ongoing period of research and field testing is now well underway to quantify, validate and prove any claims that can be made of the new system.
