WE ARE A LIVING WAGE EMPLOYER

We’re delighted to announce that Ideal Manufacturing Ltd is now an accredited Living Wage Employer! We are really proud of this, especially right now.

This means that every member of the team working for Ideal Manufacturing Ltd will earn a real Living Wage. That’s something to be proud of, particularly in the East Midlands, a region with one of the highest proportions of non-Living Wage jobs in the country (22%), with over 405,000 jobs paying less than the real Living Wage. We have committed to pay the real Living Wage and deliver a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work.

The real Living Wage is higher than the government’s minimum, or National Living Wage, and is an independently calculated hourly rate of pay that is based on the actual cost of living. It is calculated each year and is announced by the Living Wage Foundation as part of Living Wage Week. It is currently £9.30 in the UK, with a higher rate of £10.75 for London, reflecting the higher costs of living in the capital.

Nearly 6000 organisations, including Ideal, voluntarily choose to pay the real Living Wage because we believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay. You can find other organisations who pay the Living Wage here: https://www.livingwage.org.uk/living-wage-map

This commitment applies to not only directly employed team members but also to our third party contracted staff. We will ensure that all our third party contracted staff, will also be paid the real Living Wage.

We are really proud of this commitment and we’d like to encourage our customers, suppliers and service partners to help raise awareness about the scheme.
